Mechanical Project Manager

Location: El Cajon, CA 92020, must be able to commute between Otay Mesa and Carlsbad for job sites

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, schedule may vary depending on projects

Pay: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE

An industry leading Construction and Engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Construction Project Manager to join their team. Project Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of their direct reports and to be available during the hours that any direct reports are working.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain a positive relationship with all customers and field personnel
  • Coordinate and supervise all field personnel and subcontractors
  • Ensure all field personnel and subcontractors are following all job site safety protocols
  • Provide updates on field labor productivity for all active projects
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the entire scope of work, including plans, specs, logistics, materials, equipment, submittals and other requirements
  • Perform quality control duties, means and methods for all mechanical construction projects
  • Project cash flow, Projections, Reporting, and Personnel Management
  • Material and equipment procurement
  • Change order management
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans and programs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years previous Mechanical Construction Project Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Works, Project, Access, and Powerpoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
